The episode begins with Dadi asking Abhira to get fresh mehendi so Armaan and Ruhi can write their names and unite for seven lifetimes. Abhira fetches the mehendi, and Vidya prompts Ruhi to start the ritual. Ruhi nods and sits down for the mehendi, asking Armaan about the design.
Abhira looks on as Vidya suggests it might be Mauli color. Ruhi writes her name on Armaan’s hand, and everyone claps while “Aai Shubh Ghadi” plays. Dadi then asks Armaan to write his name on Ruhi’s hand. He does, and Vidya hugs Ruhi.
Feeling heartbroken, Abhira goes outside, sits, and eats pastries, lamenting about one-sided love and Armaan marrying Ruhi. Meanwhile, Armaan also eats pastries, confused about why he keeps thinking of Abhira and why he can’t get her out of his mind. They both reflect on each other. Abhira scolds herself and cries, and they catch sight of each other from a distance.
The next morning, Abhira tells Armaan she won’t help and insists he’s too late. Armaan, however, argues they must do it now and insists she help with the dance practice since she’s their wedding planner.
Reluctantly, she begins to teach him, and “Baaton Hi Baton Mein” plays as they dance. Abhira gets hurt, and when Armaan asks if she took her medicine, she angrily tells him to stop worrying about her and runs off. He follows, asking what’s wrong.
She snaps, questioning why he cares and stating they have no relationship. He asks about their friendship, which makes her more furious. As garlands fall over her, he tries to help, but she pushes him away, expressing her frustration with his intermittent kindness. She confesses she feels foolish, can fight the world but not him, and accuses him of hating her while she will always love him. Armaan is left in shock.
Armaan: “What did you say? You love me? No, you said you hate me and my family. That’s not possible.” *He holds her face.*Abhira: “My mom used to tell me nothing is impossible for me. I believed her. How silly of me. You told me the truth today; I can never love you.”
Armaan: “I meant…”Abhira: “Sorry, I shouldn’t have told you my feelings. Don’t worry, my heart’s already broken.” *She turns to leave. Jhoke…plays… She sees the garland in his hand, pulls it, and runs outside, crying and holding a cushion. Armaan is shocked.
Abhira: “I’m so stupid. He’s going to marry Ruhi. Just sit here and cry; he doesn’t love me.”Armaan: “Abhira loves me, but why didn’t she tell me? She was saying it, but I couldn’t understand. She knew our marriage is temporary. How did this happen? I fight with her and don’t treat her well, yet she gave her heart to me.”
Abhira: “My fate is filled with thorns. My first love will never be fulfilled. I can finally move on and leave his life. It’s okay.”Armaan falls to the ground.Armaan: “She’s mad for not telling me. Why does this affect me so much?”
Ruhi enters. “What happened? Are you okay?”Armaan considers telling Ruhi the truth.
