The episode opens with Ruhi running and expressing gratitude to Vidya, who responds by saying that a daughter should never thank her mother. Reflecting on Ruhi’s earlier advice, Vidya admits that she now believes Ruhi is the right choice for Armaan. Ruhi, touched by Vidya’s words, hugs her and expresses gratitude.
However, she notes that Vidya has kept their past love affair secret from Dadi. Vidya explains that she wanted to protect Ruhi’s image in front of everyone, as only she understands the sacrifice Armaan made for Rohit. Ruhi thanks her for her understanding. Meanwhile, Abhira is troubled by Ruhi’s revelation, and while Ruhi dances joyfully, Abhira is left in tears.
Elsewhere, a man asks Armaan for a ride, revealing that his wife also attends the same college. Upon recognizing Armaan as Abhira’s husband, the man engages in conversation with him. Meanwhile, Ruhi searches for Armaan to share the good news with him but is unable to find him. Determined, she decides to personally deliver the message, feeling fearless and confident in their relationship. Back at the college, Abhira, preoccupied with her thoughts, is encouraged by a friend to join the class.
However, Abhira remains lost in contemplation, remembering Vidya’s words. Despite her efforts to focus on her exam, Abhira’s mind keeps wandering, leading her to make a mistake during the test and request an extra sheet, much to the amusement of her classmates and the teacher’s disappointment.
She wonders, “Why am I forgetting everything?” Images of Abhira and Ruhi mocking her flash in her mind. She covers her ears, denying the vision, muttering, “No, this isn’t real.” Looking around, she overhears Armaan discussing Abhira’s exam, noting that once Abhira completes it, his promise will be fulfilled. However, he is soon informed that Abhira has left the exam.
Madhav questions, “Armaan and Ruhi’s marriage?” Vidya defends the idea, while Sanjay opposes it, suggesting Ruhi marry into another family. Kajal supports the match, but Manisha disagrees. Dadi intervenes, asking for time to contemplate.
Distressed, Abhira rushes to the art room and vents her emotions on a canvas. She laments ruining everything for love, acknowledging Armaan’s apparent disdain and the family’s disapproval. She questions her inability to restrain herself, laughing bitterly. Armaan finds her there and questions her absence from the exam hall, reminding her of his family feud to support her studies.
Abhira, however, declares she has relieved him of any obligation towards her, claiming she has made her own decisions. Armaan, stunned, retorts that she cannot simply absolve him of responsibility. She insists she has, instructing him to focus on Ruhi, the woman he is destined to marry.
Their argument escalates, with Abhira asserting her independence and relieving him of the burden of her well-being. Storming off, she leaves Armaan to ponder her words. Meanwhile, at the exam hall, an official denies Abhira entry due to her late arrival. Armaan intervenes, but Abhira dismisses his assistance, confidently stating she doesn’t need anyone to vouch for her integrity.
The official, acknowledging her typically good behavior, promises to review the CCTV footage later. Abhira, in a moment of defiance and frustration, tears up an answer sheet, symbolizing her rebellion against the expectations imposed on her.
