The episode begins with Abhira taking her exam. Armaan, stumbling and anxious, wonders if Ruhi has revealed their secret. He rushes home. While Abhira writes her exam, Ruhi speaks with Suwarna and Surekha over a video call.
Ruhi tells them that some family members support her relationship with Armaan, and she believes everyone will agree once Dadisa approves. She urges them to convince Manish.
Just then, Manish enters and asks what they need to convince him about. Armaan arrives home, shouting for Ruhi. Manish asserts that Ruhi has no future with Armaan and that they are not meant to be together.
Suwarna interjects, explaining that Ruhi spoke to Vidya, who has given her consent, and now Manish should also agree to the relationship. Manish questions if Armaan has agreed to marry Ruhi. Armaan angrily confronts Ruhi, accusing her of not waiting. Ruhi defends herself, saying she waited a long time.
Their argument escalates. Armaan emphasizes that his family, especially his mother, is important to him. Ruhi counters, claiming she understands this better than anyone and took responsibility by speaking to his mother, who now has no issues with their relationship.
Armaan apologizes, but Ruhi dismisses his apology, stating that she reached out to him many times, but he never responded. She reminds him that Dadi was planning to send him to Delhi and that he should support their relationship, as he has made decisions for it.
Armaan reveals that Abhira informed him about the situation, causing Ruhi to recall Abhira’s words. Meanwhile, Sanjay insists on Charu getting married soon, but Charu refuses. He berates her, claiming she doesn’t know what’s right, and she retorts that he hasn’t done much for them.
He declares she doesn’t deserve anything and she firmly refuses the marriage, walking away. He laments that the children have forgotten his authority, and Dadi advises him to expel Charu. He reveals some papers to her, and she concludes that Charu will leave that very day. He smiles in agreement.
Back at home, Armaan reflects that his marriage to Abhira was fake but insists he wants to be honest with her about his relationship with Ruhi.
Abhira packs her bags. Armaan enters and says, “You shouldn’t leave right now.” She responds, “This relationship is over. By what right should I stay here?” He insists, “You are my wife; we’re married on paper.
” She sarcastically replies, “Wow, Armaan wins the caring husband award.” He urges her to stop and says, “I need to tell you about Ruhi and me.” She retorts, “I don’t want to know.” He starts, “The truth is, Ruhi and I…” but they are interrupted and called downstairs.
Dadi presents papers on a plate with rose petals. Armaan checks the papers, revealing the annulment of their marriage. Sanjay declares, “You both aren’t husband and wife now.” Shock fills the room. Sanjay instructs Abhira to pack his bags and leave.
Abhira retorts, “You’re eager to make me leave; I’m more eager to go. I’m already packed.” Armaan protests, “You won’t go.” She replies, “I’m not your wife anymore.” Madhav pleads, “Please don’t leave now. Go in the morning. I promise I won’t ask you to stay.” Abhira reluctantly agrees and taunts Dadi.
Dadi commands Armaan to remove Abhira’s mangalsutra. Abhira insists, “I can remove it myself.” Dadi asserts, “You both have no relation now. Remember how Armaan threw you out like a thorn.
” Armaan struggles to remove the mangalsutra, feeling the pain. Dadi chides, “Can’t you even remove a mangalsutra?” Armaan, frustrated, finally breaks it. Abhira, saddened, holds his hand and asks him to wipe off the sindoor as well.
“Hamesha Tumko Chaha” plays in the background. Armaan complies, and Abhira retreats to her room, recalling the events. She pours a jug of water over her head and cries, removing her bangles. Armaan, distressed, thinks, “I couldn’t maintain a fake marriage. How will I ever handle a real one?”
